Traveling to Ecuador for an Immersion Trip
Today I will be traveling to Ecuador for an immersion trip with other students from Cabrini that will last the week. We will be staying at a retreat house with Rostro de Cristo and living and interacting with the people there. We will be living simply much like the natives who live on about two dollars a day. That means no phone and no Internet. In a way it will be nice to be away from technology for a week but also interesting because I haven’t ever went without it before for this long of time.
While I was in Asia over the summer, I was able to use the Internet and have electronics with me making it easy to blog about my experience every night. I will be sure to keep a journal of my experiences in Ecuador and blog about the trip when I get back. I am very much looking forward to this experience as it is my first time in South America experiencing their culture in person.
